Scrap Road Tax and Tolls in favour of Tax on Fuel

With all the hot air about tolls, congestion charging, taxing 4WDs and satellite tracking and worse still, all the money being spent on committees to research these things, it seems to me that the government has missed the simple solution or ignored it because of the minority lobbyists.

Scrap road tax, scrap tolls and add the costs to fuel duty.

It may seem unpopular but it certainly is fair.

Those who use their vehicles more, or at peak times, pay more.

Those who buy gas guzzlers pay more.

Those who clog up the roads and wear them out more, pay more.

Those who buy more fuel efficient vehicles, pay less.

If you think this is plain commonsense, you could sign this petition which I have set up.
