Tesco Dairy Food Quality
Karin and I have grown tired of having milk, sold by Tesco, going sour well before the use by date.
We buy from Tesco Bar Hill and Tesco Newmarket Road and have complained to the manager at Tesco Bar Hill in previous years, urging him to take our complaint to head office.
When we buy milk, we take it home immediately and refrigerate it. Nevertheless, in the warmer weather it can go bad well before the use by date.
The latest example was yesterday when the milk we bought for our 2 year old son curdled 4 days before the use by date. If we don’t notice when the milk is slightly off it can lead to an upset stomach.
When we took this up with Tesco in previous years, they sent an engineer to check out our refrigerator which was found to be functioning properly.
My suspicion therefore is that somewhere in the supply chain to Tesco, or within the store, the milk is not being properly refrigerated, or else their use by dates are overly optimistic.
Has anyone else experienced this problem with Tesco use by dates?

Just this weekend, had some strawberries.
Sell by date: 21st May
Use by date: 22nd May.
On 21st they were already mushy and mouldy.
